Christine S. Blackwell

Christine was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended Louisiana State University where she graduated summa cum laude with bachelor degrees in both History and Political Science. Christine then went on to study law at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law where she graduated cum laude and was a member of the International Law Review Association.

Christine is licensed in both Texas and Louisiana and is admitted to practice before the Southern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Louisiana. Her practice areas include: general civil and commercial litigation, personal injury defense, premises liability, products liability, and construction defects.

Education

Christine graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University in 2006 with degrees in both Political Science and History. While at LSU, Christine was a member of Order of the Omega Honors Society, Rho Lamda Greek Honors Society, Phi Kappa Pi Honors Society, and received the George C. Robinson Freshman Award. In 2009, she received her Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University, graduating cum laude. While at SMU, Christine was an articles editor and a staff editor of the International Law Review Association and a member of the Dean’s List.

Christine’s Casenote, entitled What does the Bank of the South really signify? was chosen for publication in the Law and Business Review of the Americas.
